Fishing at Fern Ridge Lake, Oregon
There are 4 public use boat ramps located on the lake at Richardson Park, Fern Ridge Shores, Perkins Peninsula Park, and Orchard Point Park. There is also a canoe launch at the Long Tom River Nature Trail parking area. A fishing dock is located at the Perkins Peninsula Park.

The lake is known to have windy days which are great for sail boats, but can keep small boats out of the open water. Luckily, the southern edge of the lake provides many inlets and sloughs for small boaters on windy days.

Crappie is the main attraction for most anglers at Fern Ridge. Fishing for Catfish and Bass can also be quite rewarding at the lake. The Crappie in Fern Ridge often grow over 12 inches. While fishing for Crappie is best in the spring, the species can be caught throughout the warmer months. Bluegill are also present in the lake.
